MADISON COUNTY, Ala.– An EF-0 tornado is confirmed to have caused damage near Huntsville International Airport during Tuesday evening’s storms.
The National Weather Service said no one was injured. The tornado touched down about 6:35 p.m. on Beadle Lane, just east of Wall Triana Highway. It was on the ground for about two minutes, ending along Harold Murphy Drive about a quarter of a mile west.
A NWS team surveyed the damage on Wednesday, and said the tornado twisted a metal billboard and damaged several homes in the River Landing subdivision, including roofs, fences and sheds. Some shingles were ripped off and gutters and siding were peeled back.
